Destinee (she/her) became a research analyst at CPR in 2023. Destinee earned her doctoral degree in criminal justice from the University of Cincinnati. She also holds a master’s degree in criminology and criminal justice from Arizona State University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in criminology from West Virginia University. During her time as a graduate research assistant, she worked as part of a research team evaluating the effectiveness of the Domestic Violence Enhanced Response Team (DVERT) program, which is a second responder intervention meant to reduce gender-based violence. Destinee has also contributed to various quantitative and qualitative projects focusing on domestic violence, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, and child abuse/neglect. Additionally, she has co-authored numerous scholarly articles and technical reports, made presentations at academic conferences, and instructed multiple undergraduate courses.

Destinee is incredibly passionate about using reliable research methods and data to help provide services to those most in need. She believes data should be leveraged to provide insights and generate data-informed policy recommendations that make a meaningful difference.
