
Colorado Pathways to Success Formative Evaluation Final Report
click to downloadThe Colorado Pathways to Success Program is a multi-phased program funded by the Children’s Bureau with the aim of developing new initiatives aimed at preventing youth homelessness among current and former foster care youth aged 14-21.
This report outlines the key intervention components of the model and reviews the evaluation, lessons learned, and preliminary outcomes from the intervention. Some key findings from the evaluation include:
- Pathways successfully identifies at-risk youth
- Youth report feeling more empowered and resilient following program participation and show outcomes in each of the program’s impact areas: housing, education, employment, health and well-being, and supportive adult connections:
- increases in safe, stable housing, reduction of homeless episodes
- increased graduation rates for younger youth and higher rates of re-enrollment for older youth
- decreased unemployment, increased earnings, and greater access to banking services
- feeling prepared to manage their health, reduction in mental health episodes
