Opportunity Description:
The Center for Policy Research (CPR) is seeking a full-time research assistant to provide support to CPR staff on multiple research and evaluation projects. The research assistant works collaboratively with other CPR researchers and staff on a variety of multiple projects simultaneously. Expected annual salary range based on qualifications is $50,000-$55,000, plus excellent benefits.
Required Duties:
- Provide support to project managers and directors across multiple research projects of varying sizes and timelines
- Work directly with office manager to coordinate contracts, invoices and other tasks as needed across multiple projects
- Work closely with researchers for timely conduct of project activities and preparation of project deliverables
- Review data collection and database entries, run reports across multiple projects
- Compile and maintain project-specific status reports
- Publish reports, news events, and announcements to website
- Interact in a professional manner with clients, project partners, site personnel and internal staff
- Provide oversight and fidelity control over data collection monitoring and reporting
- Create and maintain project timelines, ensure project is on track to produce deliverables
- Coordinate project meetings and produce quality meeting minutes, summaries and briefs as needed
- Engage in data collection (e.g., in-person interviews, focus groups, phone interviews)
- Quantitative data entry and cleaning (e.g., reliability checks) in excel and SPSS
- Assist with formatting and/or writing of reports, policy briefs, and PowerPoint presentations using Microsoft Office
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, community psychology, social work, statistics, public policy, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience working in a business environment that required a high level of organization skills and attention to detail.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Google Workspace.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Detail-oriented; able to enter and review quantitative data for accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible, with a strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking a collaborative and supportive role as the situation requires

We specialize in the evaluation of social and human service programs. CPR’s current research projects are focused on domestic violence services, services for youth who are homeless or in foster care, child support policy, and fatherhood programs.
